When you have decided what scripts you will use on your site, you will need to install them before you can use them. To start installing a script, click on its name. From here, you will be brought to the install screen.
Through this screen, you will need to provide the installation options for the script. While these options may vary from script to script, there are some universals in the install process.
Install
In the install section, you may see a license agreement for the software. If you do, installing the software means that you agree to the terms of the agreement. Please make sure to read and understand the agreement before installing the software.
Admin User
This user will be the administrative user for the script. This user will be able to make changes to the addon after it is installed.
Admin Pass
This is the password for the administrative user.
This should be the email address that you can be contacted at. If the addon you are trying to install is moderated, this is the email address that you will be contacted at when your install is approved or denied.
Installation URL
This is the URL that you wish the addon to be accessed by the public at. A directory will be created based on the name placed in the field next to the domain selection drop box. If you wish to install the addon so it shows when your domain is accessed, make sure the field is blank.
Table prefix
This is the prefix name that will be associated with the SQL database created to work with the addon. It should be something that you can relate to the addon so that you can remember what the database does by looking at its name.
MySQL DB
You can select to use an existing database by selecting it from the drop list here. If you do not choose one, a new database will be created for the addon.
Once you have completed the necessary information, click on Install to install the addon script.
Moderated Scripts
If you see Submit Moderation Request instead of Install, this means that the script has been moderated. You will need approval from your web host to install this script. Move on to Requesting Approval for an Addon Install
